On Friday, June 24, the Grand Rapids Blue Bridge will be transformed into the colors of the rainbow again in celebration of our city's LGBTQ.
Musical guests include the return of last year's crowd favorites Cabildo and DJ Monica Parker(Rumors), but 2016 promises new surprises with names released throughout the week ahead.
On the occasion of the closing night of Grand Rapids Pride Week, the Blue Bridge, a universal symbol of passage, will be transformed into a space where the community can gather for a (free) celebration of the power of equality and inclusion.
This year we dedicate our event to the memory of those who have lost their lives in the Orlando shooting but also to the Mayor of Grand Rapids, John Logie, who fought to ensure the LGBTQ of our community felt welcome. In 1994, Mayor Logie led the commision to enact civil rights protections of our city's LGBTQ.
So come out, enjoy the live music from our guest performers, purchase a refreshing beverage, and get ready for an amazing night with your friends and family in the heart of the most amazing city in our state.
See You Friday Night!
